日本物理学会領域３（磁性）では、領域独自の学生奨励賞に代わり、 2018年度から日本物理学会でオーソライズされた学生優秀発表賞を公募します。応募は自薦と他薦のどちらでも可能です。応募に際しては領域３学生優秀発表賞受賞規定を熟読してください。なお、日本物理学会の上位規定との整合性をとるため、応募資格に当該秋季大会での口頭発表が加わるなど、これまでの学生奨励賞とは応募要領が変わっていますので御注意ください。

In the Division 3 (Magnetism) of the Physical Society of Japan, we are now accepting applications for the JPS Authorized Student Presentation Award, starting from the 2018 academic year, in place of the division’s former independent student encouragement award. Applications may be submitted either by self-nomination or by recommendation. Before applying, please carefully read the Division 3 Student Presentation Award Guidelines. Please note that the application requirements have changed compared to the previous award, in order to align with the higher-level regulations of the Physical Society of Japan (for example, eligibility now requires an oral presentation at the fall meeting).
We look forward to receiving many applications.

応募資格：
1)当該秋に行われる物理学会で口頭発表を行うこと
2)上記の口頭発表に関連する研究内容に対して、物理学会で過去に１回以上の発表を行っていること
3)当該大会の学生発表時点で物理学会正会員のうち大学院生または学生会員であること

Eligibility：
1)Must give an oral presentation at the JPS meeting held in the relevant autumn.
2)Must have given at least one prior presentation at a JPS meeting related to the research content of the above-mentioned oral presentation.
3)Must be a graduate student or student member who holds regular membership in the JPS at the time of the presentation at the meeting.

提出書類：
1)申請書（文書作成年月日、候補者氏名、会員番号、生年月日、所属・身分・所在地、連絡先（電話番号、電子メール）、研究略歴、審査対象発表題目（和文および英文）、その他必要事項）
2)関連研究に対する過去の物理学会での口頭発表の概要の写し、および当該学会発表の概要の写し（プログラム番号が入っているもの）
3)推薦（または自薦）書（和文（600字以内）または英文（240 Words以内））
4)当該発表の内容を補足する資料（研究の重要性やインパクトについて，候補者の貢献度を含めてＡ４用紙2ページ以内で説明する(和文または英文）。審査以外には使用しない。）
5)その他、参考となる資料（発表論文の写し等）（任意）

申請書および推薦書(自薦書)のテンプレート（word, pdf）を必要に応じてご利用下さい。

Required Documents：
1. Application form (including date of document preparation, applicant's name, membership number, date of birth, affiliation/status/location, contact information (phone number, e-mail address), brief research history, title of the presentation to be reviewed in both Japanese and English, and other required details)
2. Copy of the abstract of a past oral presentation at the JPS meeting related to the research subject to review, as well as a copy of the abstract of the presentation being reviewed(with the program number included)
3. Letter of recommendation (or self-recommendation) in Japanese (within 600 characters) or English (within 240 words)
4. Supplementary materials related to the presentation (explaining the significance and impact of the research, including the applicant’s contribution, within two A4 pages in either Japanese or English; these will only be used for evaluation purposes)
5. Other reference materials (such as copies of published papers, etc.) (optional)

受理通知（メール）が３日以内に届かない場合はお問合せください。
